In 2017, AVAIRX partnered with the ESTACA engineering school specializing in aerospace, automotive, rail and space. We support the training and teaching of engineering students by associating them with innovative mobility projects to answer practical field use cases studied by our clients. AVAIRX also offers an integration process for young graduate engineers wishing to work in the field of emerging mobility systems, including autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles and VTOL drones.

The river and autonomous shuttle robot boat project of the city of Caen was born from the need to meet the future mobility needs of the city of Caen in Normandy. Named NEAC and resulting from the first work packages of the TEVAC project, the project has several objectives: to develop a proof of concept of autonomous waterway and maritime shuttle robot boat integrated to the transport offer of the city, to develop a cluster of excellence around boats and coordinate the efforts of the local industrial and business ecosystem. The development of NEAC represents major opportunities for demonstrating French know-how to meet national and international needs for innovative links for hubs near waterways corridors and maritime areas.

AVAIRX participates in the initiatives of the European Commission to promote sustainable and inclusive mobility. Our work began during the CityMobil2 project, advising and supporting Induct Technology (now Navya) and then their competitor EasyMile. In the pursuit of our large-scale international collaboration initiatives, AVAIRX is participating in the European Innovation Partnership project on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) launched in 2017. AVAIRX's action revolves around the construction of a consortium to address the challenges of sustainable logistics and short cycle management and handling to reduce perishable goods losses. Structured with several partners and European cities, the consortium will reply to calls for projects from the European Commission in the coming months.

The Paris Council has an information and evaluation mission (MIE) devoted to the future of the ring road famous périphérique of Paris. This body, made up of 15 advisers from Paris and working on the model of parliamentary missions, wanted to involve AVAIRX and our CEO, Manuel Chaufrein to feed their analysis and word and have a decryption and expertise in innovative and emerging mobility. As part of this mission, AVAIRX contributed to reflections, evaluations and a second look at the projects proposed as part of the consultation won by four consortia.
