TEVAC

TEVAC - Territory for Experimenting Vehicles Autonomous and Connected - is an ambitious project which objective was to bring together key succes factors to make the Seine Valley an experimentation environment for autonomous and connected vehicles, applied to land and maritime domain for passenger and freight transport applications. This project was launched in 2017 as part of the Interregional State-Regions Seine Valley contract in France. It followed a call for "Environmental transition and economic valorization" issued by the Île-de-France and Normandy regions in partnership with the French Environment & Energy Management Agency for Climate change – ADEME.

PlugGo Mobility Brasil

The most beautiful things come to those who know how to seize opportunities ... BMW is then looking for electrocompatible cities to market its new electric vehicle, the BMW i3, in connection with innovative mobility services such as PlugGo Mobility which associated carsharing and premium services with the first electric vehicles. AVAIRX identifies an exceptional potential in the megacity of São Paulo and designs a totally innovative mobility service for the time (we were in 2014).

X

X for the eXperimental dimension and lab

Since its creation, AVAIRX cultivates its pioneering spirit and challenging, not giving in to the sirens of fashions. Who knows if the autonomous vehicle of tomorrow will be exclusively with an electric rechargeable battery? Why would an ethanol-based powered Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) solution as developed in Brazil be inappropriate in a given context in which hydrogen technology would be applied? Why implement a vast network of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, while smart cities' energy generation and highly localized storage solutions will quickly enable taxi and delivery vehicle fleets to be optimized. This X, eXperimental and laboratory, allows us to apply our know-how and skills to an infinity of applications to help mobility and transport stakeholders to enter the learning curve of new systems and accelerate this transformation.

Advise on the transversal application of autonomous technologies

Our work and advice now extends to land, sea and air, with the ambition to study and advise on the transversal application of autonomous technologies, shared and electrified in these new territories. Exploring new frontiers also includes supporting our customers in the development and use of blockchain technology applied to mobility, its processes and its multilevel ecosystem. The complex logistics, particularly of perishable goods integrating multiple points of sale in a complex urban environment, represents a project on which AVAIRX works and will offer its services as part of a European consortium developed at the initiative of the European Commission. AVAIRX headquarter is in Paris and our project MAGELLAN is accelerated at the Station F, the world's largest start-up incubator.

Research & Development

Evolving mobility patterns

To guarantee the success of the projects, AVAIRX relies on a network of skills, methods, and a unique and innovative know-how built on our understanding of the systems and territorial needs willing to change their mobility patterns. As a result, Mobility as a Service and innovative freight solutions are emerging as an opportunity for rural areas experiencing demographic or economic slowdown and, of course, for Smart Cities currently growing around the world. Their intersection with the application of the autonomous technology in the air, on land and at sea is one of the major challenges to be addressed by R & D.

Cybersecurity of autonomous vehicles

Our methodology and analysis systematically crosses opportunities and technical, operational, economic and financial feasibility. In particular, we contribute to cybersecurity research for autonomous public transit vehicles on sensitive sites. We also participate in the definition and application of autonomous vehicles in a suburban transport offer by leading a community of beta testers, future customers and users.

Innovation

Putting users at the heart of innovation

Innovative mobility and transport systems are still experimental and require testing new technologies, but also new business models, new services that can be adopted by users and citizens. Like our approach for the TEVAC project, we place users / customers at the heart of innovation in order to ensure the future scalability of products and services.

Helping to understand innovative and emerging mobility systems

We support the ecosystem - start-ups, system developers, manufacturers and equipment manufacturers, system operators, transport operators, authorities, governments, investors - and territories to better understand innovative and emerging mobility systems. This is true, for example, for hybrid transport such as Personal Rapid Transit (PRT), autonomous pod solutions suspended and guided on a beam rail, or for autonomous public transport shuttles. This is true for the automobile, as for the air or the maritime and the fluvial systems with the launch of the first autonomous robot boats and the arrival of electric planes and drones named VTOL, Vertical Take Off and Landing. Our ambition: helping our clients transform innovation into business.

Planning and urban planning of mobility systems

To secure our role in the planning and urban planning of innovative and emerging mobility systems, to explore new frontiers, we continuously enrich our knowledge by monitoring, experimenting and applying systems of the future into innovative business models. There are many examples: electric vehicle charging service on public roads as a white lable; TNC ride hailing and sourcing on a public transport line, solutions of autonomous shuttles in suburban and rural territory or service offer with robot boats in an intermodal solution on a peninsula.

Design thinking for systems and services of the future

Our structured approach is derived and adapted from the Strategyzer® School's for design thinking methods. These tools allow us to fully include the users and customers at the heart of the development of the systems and services of the future. This allows rapid adoption of innovations and bridges customers-users, authorities and developers of innovative technology systems. All players, and in particular territories, users, technology solution companies and investors, are henceforth entering the learning curve quicker. They can grow faster by minimizing risk and maximizing their chances of success and profit.

Avant-garde

Offer independent Insights and Return on Experience

Since the creation of the firm, AVAIRX has supported the work of regional and national planning managers, decision-makers and investors in their transport mobility planning, using strategic studies aimed at implementing innovative and complex systems. Our consulting missions provide independent insights and return on experience, taking into account the planning and the urbanism projects at stake, domains where emerging systems directly impact transport hubs in cities, territories and their future developments.

Sharing our vision of the future

Communities, operators and emerging transport system operators benefit from our consulting services. We are directly associated with competitiveness studies for innovation clusters. We advise investment funds on financing and project development opportunities. We henceforth share our vision of the future and contribute to the evolution and improvement of mobility and transport offers as well as to the emergence of Smart Cities and the smart territories of tomorrow.

At the forefront and cohorting the avantgarde of emerging systems applications, from premium to public transit

During the past eight years, always at the forefront of premium services and transport operations, we find that the first electrical systems we tested are now recognized as an alternative solution to internal combustion engine vehicles. Our previous work has contributed to the development of autonomous vehicles by EasyMile, Navya and Olli by Local Motors which are now acknowledged as mobility solutions in transport program regulations around the world, notably in the United States, Europe, Singapore and China.

Fast pace technological transformation

Systems on which we intervene in our consulting services will enter into effective marketing and operations in the next decade, a time which is radically accelerated by a factor of 10 compared to the automobile, air and rail revolutions of the last century. These rapid technological transformation require to enter as early as possible into operational, commercial and digital infrastructure innovation phases. Finally, we apply the phrase “Practice What We Preach" by testing and providing, as soon as possible, feedback, return on experience and our strategic insights on emerging systems.
